What a super cute little iPod. It’s like that awkward childhood phase you go through when you realise that you’re a chunky little nugget.
In fact the entire ad is childlike. The selection of colours resemble a candy store – silver counter, red lollipops, green chewies, black liquorice and blue cotton candy colours. Even the song sounds like a light anthem for summer vacation, sung by a 12 year old with a guitar.
They’re not really showing too much off with this ad though, just focusing on the big idea of adding video to an iPod.
If they really wanted to market to a younger audience (which I doubt they intended to do, just my interpretation), they should’ve focused on the nifty little time-wasting games.
